Buckden

Buckden is located on the B6160 North of Kettlewell in Upper Wharfdale with the famous Buckden Pike to the North East of the village. The area is well known to walkers and the occasional fell runner (Buckden Pike Fell Race is in June every year, starting in the centre of the village). Walkers are attracted to the steep slopes of the Dale and variety of countryside; from open fields to wooded hillsides with hardy moorland on the tops. Look out for the local population of red squirrels together with other wildlife such as hares, rabbits and pheasants. 

There is a variety of accommodation from holiday cottages at Dalegarth to bed, breakfast and evening meals at the White Lion in Cray, one mile to the North. if you are looking for the peace and quiet of the Yorkshire Dales -  you've found it in Buckden!
