Stokesley
Home > Stokesley | Stokesley is a small market town about 3 miles north of the North Yorks Moors and 12 miles from the sea. It is steeped in history and the markets which were chartered in 1223 to take place on a Friday still do. The River Levern runs through the town creating a charming and picturesque feel for the visitor and dweller. The Mill wheel is a prominent feature of the town and the agricultural show held in Seltember is also a big hit and allows the town folk to show off many crafts and talents. |
| In and around Stokesley there's catered or self-catered accommodation to choose from. Many holiday cottages are situated in the beautiful countryside and prove to be very popular. Located just off the A172, Stokesley is only 3 miles from Great Ayton (where the nearest railway station is) and less than 15 miles from Middlesbrough where the nearest airport is. |
